If you’ve been wondering about the future plans for the site at 803 Glenmore Avenue, between Shepherd Avenue and Berriman Street in East New York, here’s the latest update: according to YIMBY, permits have been filed for the construction of a new four-story residential building at the location.

The property sits near the Shepherd Avenue subway station, served by the C train, making it an attractive location for future residents. The proposed development will rise 44 feet and provide approximately 6,143 square feet of residential space, with plans for 10 residential units. The building will also include a cellar and a 21-foot-long rear yard.

This project marks yet another new residential development in East New York, an area that has seen a steady stream of new construction over the past several years. However, at this time, it is not clear whether these units will be included in New York City’s affordable housing lottery or if they will be market-rate rentals.

Since the lot at 803 Glenmore Avenue is currently vacant, no demolition permits are expected to be needed. An estimated completion date has not yet been announced.
