Home Care Agency Paying Family Members To Take Care Of Loved Ones Launches Digital Platform

Tradition Home Care, the home care agency that pays family members to take care of loved ones, through their Tradition CDPAP Program,  has launched their new digital media platform, TraditionHomeCare.com.

Tradition Home Care is a full service home care agency, catering to seniors.  They also operate the Canarsie Adult Living Day Center, which provides activities to keep seniors socially active.

JIG Media worked with Tradition Home Care to create their digital media strategy, which is important to reach caregivers and seniors.  The initial thought of the average New Yorker is that seniors are not online, but the facts show the opposite.  See some senior facts below.

  • Over 1.3 million seniors call New York City home
  • Seniors are the fastest growing demographic in New York City
  • Over 82% of seniors ages 65-69 are online
  • Nearly 60% of seniors in New York City have smartphones, and the number grows every month.

Tradition Home Care is endorsed by New York for Seniors (a JIG Media property), an advocacy group that supports seniors throughout New York City. New York for Seniors provides online resources to bring important information to seniors.  The organization also produces the New York for Seniors Wellness and Resource Series of events, which brings resources directly to seniors.

“We like what Tradition Home Care stands for”, stated Vernon Jones, Sr., CEO of JIG Media, “besides their home care services, we love the fact that they have the CDPAP Program, which pays family members to take care of loved ones at home. This makes so much sense because if you are caring for a loved one at home, you suffer financially if you are unable to work a full time job.  The Tradition CDPAP Program pays the family member for services they are already providing, which relieves any financial stress that the caregiver might be facing.”

The newly launched Tradition Home Care website provides information about all of their programs, as well as a resource section where seniors and caregivers can find information about healthy eating, senior housing, events, and more.
