According to a press release on NYC Newswire, Nike has officially opened a new retail store at Atlantic Center Mall, located at 625 Atlantic Avenue, Suite 104, directly across from the Barclays Center in Downtown Brooklyn. The store offers a wide selection of footwear, apparel, and accessories for men, women, and children. Customers can also take advantage of services such as in-store assistance, order pickup for online purchases, and integration with the Nike app, which allows shoppers to check product availability and access information while browsing.
The new store operates Monday through Saturday from 10:00 AM to 9:00 PM, and Sunday from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM. Atlantic Center Mall, where the store is situated, has been a prominent part of Downtown Brooklyn’s retail landscape for two decades and benefits from proximity to major transit hubs and the Barclays Center arena.
The retail space now occupied by Nike has seen several tenants over the past twenty years. Initially leased by OfficeMax, the space became vacant when OfficeMax closed its store. It was then taken over by H&M, which operated there briefly before shutting down. Most recently, Roller Wave, a pop-up roller skating venue and entertainment business, occupied the location until Nike moved in.
Nike’s new store brings a major brand presence to Atlantic Center Mall, further contributing to the ongoing retail development in Downtown Brooklyn. The opening coincides with the 20th anniversary of Atlantic Center Mall, underscoring the evolving retail landscape in the neighborhood.
In addition to its new Atlantic Center Mall location, Nike also operates a store in East New York at the Gateway Center Mall, reflecting the brand’s broader expansion across Brooklyn and New York City beyond Manhattan. Nike’s growing footprint in the borough highlights the trend of national retailers investing in Brooklyn’s dynamic shopping districts.
